Harold Neuendorff became interested in Hand Therapy while as a student intern at Arrowhead Medical Center in 1988 while in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program. He never forgot this experience and continued to pursue his therapy career. Following graduation he worked as a Rehab Therapist at Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital in Inglewood, CA working with the Stroke, Spinal Cord, and Traumatic Brain Injury Team. Returning to Loma Linda to continue his training to become an Occupational Therapist, subsequent internships exposed him to other Hand Therapy Centers.

While getting his Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, he worked as an Occupational Assistant at Loma Linda University Medical Center Outpatient Rehab Work Hardening program. After graduation he started his Hand Therapy Career at Loma Linda Medical Center Outpatient Rehabilitation Department in the Hand Rehab Center for thirteen years during this time period in 2002 he became a Certified Hand Therapist.

He began the Hand Rehabilitation Program at the Beaver Medical Group Physical Medicine Department in Redlands, California where he worked for seven years. He then was recruited to start the Hand Therapy Program at Arrowhead Orthopedics in 2005.

Harold has been a guest lecturer at the Loma Linda School of Allied Health Occupational Therapy program topics Hand Therapy, has also has been on KFRG 95.1 Radio show: “Ask you Doctor,” hosted by Dr. Gina Mohr “What is Hand Therapy”. He has been a Student Intern Coordinator for many years and presented multiple lectures to community physicians, medical groups, including in-services currently gathering data for future publications with the Department of Orthopedics.

While working as a Hand Therapist, he has had the opportunity to evaluate and test the first human to human hand transplant assessing functional dexterity limitations, assessing functional restriction in regards to writing, grasping, feeding fine motor skills which was quite interesting to see. His passion for Hand Rehabilitation continues to grow!

He also lived with missionary parents in Peru for 14 years, therefore he is fluent in reading and writing Spanish.
